1. What this policy covers

Cookies are small pieces of data stored by your browser. EditPic also uses localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, and browser caches. They serve different purposes and do not all expire when you close a page.

This policy covers EditPic at editpic.cc. For images, accounts, and service providers, also read our Privacy Policy.

2. Storage used by EditPic

• Login and security cookies: Authentication cookies keep you signed in and support account security. A login session normally lasts 7 days and can be refreshed through activity; cached session information lasts up to 1 hour. Other authentication cookies can have shorter lifetimes.
• Language cookie: NEXT_LOCALE remembers the language you choose with a configured lifetime of one year. This preference is stored in the current browser and does not automatically follow your account to other devices. An explicit language prefix in a link takes priority; without a saved preference, we check your browser language. Clearing or blocking cookies can remove the preference.
• Theme preference: The theme entry in localStorage remembers light, dark, or system mode until you change it, clear it, or the browser removes it.
• Local editor documents: The IndexedDB database image-edit-online-editor stores the current image, original image, and related editable information for recovery after reload. It persists until overwritten or cleared by you or your browser.
• Saved styles and AI progress: localStorage can hold saved text styles and an editor-ai-job entry associated with your account. Task entries are removed as progress is resolved. A sessionStorage entry named editor-ai-draft preserves prompts, tool settings, selected areas, and related draft information across navigation within the browsing session. It can be replaced or cleared during editing and normally ends with that browser session.
• Cached resources: Your browser may cache application files, fonts, and local processing resources to avoid downloading them repeatedly. Lifetime depends on the resource and browser settings.

These stores are not a public image gallery. Local editor data is separate from server-side AI results and can remain on a shared device after you sign out.

3. Optional services and external pages

Basic editing does not depend on advertising-targeting or social-media tracking cookies. Optional analytics, chat, and additional security integrations are configuration-dependent; a tool supported by the code is not necessarily enabled for visitors.

When optional services are enabled, their identifiers, network requests, and stored data may differ from the functional storage above. We will update the relevant disclosures and provide consent choices where applicable law requires them. This policy does not treat continuing to browse as consent to non-essential tracking.

Google sign-in and hosted checkout can also use cookies on their own pages. Their storage is controlled by the relevant provider and described in its notices.

4. Managing and clearing storage

You can use your browser's privacy or site-data controls to view, block, or remove cookies and other storage for editpic.cc. Changing language or theme updates the associated preference. Your browser may let you clear individual storage types or all site data.

• Blocking login cookies can prevent account, AI, billing, and history features from working.
• Clearing IndexedDB can remove local images and editable documents. Download work you want to keep first.
• Signing out does not automatically clear local editor documents or saved styles.
• Clearing browser data does not delete server-side history or cancel a subscription. Delete history images in your account and manage subscriptions in Billing.
